Understanding 5-Axis Servo Robot Architecture
Five-axis servo robots represent the current state of the art in injection molding automation, providing simultaneous control over traverse, vertical, crosswise, wrist flip, and wrist rotation axes for complex 3D trajectories.

Servo Drive System Architecture
Modern 5-axis robots use AC servo motors with absolute encoders for closed-loop control. The YUBAO 5-in-1 integrated drive consolidates five servo drives into a single controller.
- Traverse (X): 1200-3000mm stroke, 2.5 m/s, 0.1mm repeatability
- Vertical (Y): 800-1800mm stroke, 2.0 m/s
- Crosswise (Z): 300-800mm stroke, 1.5 m/s
- Wrist Flip (A): 0-90 degrees, 360 degrees/s
- Wrist Rotation (C): 0-360 degrees, 720 degrees/s

Motion Control Features
- S-Curve Acceleration: Jerk-limited profiles reduce mechanical stress
- Coordinated Multi-Axis: Five axes move simultaneously on optimized trajectories
- Vibration Suppression: Active damping algorithms for faster settling
- Collision Avoidance: Software-defined safety zones in mold area
Achieving Sub-3-Second Cycle Times
EUROMAP 67/77 communication with IMM controllers enables mold-area pre-positioning. With optimized EOAT, complete part removal cycles under 3 seconds are achievable for thin-wall packaging and high-cavity molds.
